How to apply Animal instinct for your Business

After exploring the Masai Mara JungIe safari and observing animals so closely,  have been thinking how to apply Animal characteristics and  jungle rules to our business world – focus is on how to leverage the “Animal Instinct” present in each one of us.

 Attack like lion

When Lion chases its pray, it gives its best shot while pursuing this chase. Half killed deer or zebra will run again and Lion will not have strength to catch it again. It is proven that Lion’s one fierce power attack is enough to kill even big animals in seconds. If you chase any opportunity, chase it like Lion, with 500% attention and all your strength.

Half kill is not kill and unfinished job is no job done. Go all in and give everything you have and finish the job in style as if your “life” depends on it.

 Be fearless

You can survive in a jungle if you are fearless. Yes, threats are real but fear makes same danger worse. Fearless is not careless. Be alert but fearless.

As fear makes you weak, Your predator can smell fear and you are more likely to be attacked. Make fearless decisions and don’t start running if other people around you are running. Assess the danger and then act wisely.

 Keep Exploring

Lion moves around 5000 KM in search of food every year  so don’t get stuck at one business/opportunity, be open to keep exploring new grounds. Only Dogs stick to their territory, Lion creates their territory wherever they go. If you have talent, you will succeed in any field or opportunity.

 Collaborate and help each other

In jungle, you can survive if you are in a group or your kind/say your network. Wolf never attacks on herd directly. Even Lion hesitate  to  go closer to herd of buffaloes as they are too strong to handle when they are together. There is collaboration between Monkey and deer to alert each other. Monkey can view long distance to see threat to alert deer, same time, deer can alert monkey using its smelling senses.

Tie up with people who have complementing skills as their core expertise for your existence and then growth.

Develop life saving skills & keep enhancing your skills

All Animals continuously upgrade their skill levels to survive in jungle. Zebra has amazing listening skills, Deer can smell and run faster even while dogging predator and Lion has developed night vision to attack in night. If you need to survive in your business world ,  keep investing in your learning’s and  tricks of the trade, something niche and unique about you to go ahead of competition.

 Smart working rather than hardworking

Lion sleeps for 20 hours a day still it is king of jungle. Donkey works whole day but still a donkey. You need to work smart and hard work alone will not take you anywhere.
